Wrong UUIDs in grub.cfg - LarryDC - 05-21-2018

After installing to my hard drive, nothing would boot of the 3 distros available in the Liquid Lemur menu from the root partition..
The installation did install correctly to the root partition since I have Grub legacy installed on a separate partition to boot the 30 or so distros I have on my 3 HDs.
Despite the fact that chainloader from my main grub menu did bring me to the Liquid Lemur grub2 menu, all the UUIDs in it were incorrect.
When I manually edited the grub.cfg file from another distro to change to the correct UUIDs, Liquid Lemur booted fine.

Okay, it installed fine on multiple machines here and booted up without issue. Did install Grub during the install?

The installer is a newer/updated version of the old Lemur installer. I may go back to the old one or look at possibly making a new one. I actually have a prototype of one I wrote, but never finished.

Anyway, I'll take a peek at the grub code tomorrow. Thanks for letting me know.

It might be that the 3 hard drives that I have confused things. I installed via the Install option on the live dvd.
Yes it did install the grub2.

Okay, thanks for the update. I'll be taking a peek at the code in a bit. I'll keep you posted.

Well, it seems there are multiple swap partition UUIDs referenced on the Live disc, as well as the Live build reading my drive configs. I usually delete my drive configs from the Live disc after it's built. Apparently, I forgot this time. Big Grin  I don't know if that is what caused your issue, but I'll clean it up for the next release and see what happens.

I've been away from building Lemur for a bit so it might take awhile to get back into the swing of things.
